vBulletin Forum Installation and Upgrade Service
My vBulletin installation service is here to help you get your forum up and running, without almost any cost. And knowing that it’s extremely important to keep your software current with the latest secure version of vB, i offer upgrades services as well to keep your vBulletin up to date.
Pricewise i don´t ask as much as most other services do, who will charge up to US$ 79 for a basic installation. That, in my oppinion, is way overpriced considering the amount of work to do on a basic install of vBulletin, which consists of uploading the files to your FTP server, setting up a database for vBulletin, modify vBulletin´s config.php file and then run the webbased installer.
This usually does not take more then 30 minutes, and charging that amount of money for half an our work is ridiculous. That is why i have a slightly different approach on that. More about the prices later.
Here is what i will need to install your vBulletin on your server, respectively webspace.
vBulletin Licence information:
to download the necessary install files.
Rather than providing your license information you might also provide a fresh
downloaded copy and your customer number, which is needed before the actual installation starts.FTP information to your web space:
This is needed to be able to upload the files to your server / webspace.Access to a SQL Database:
As you know vBulletin needs a database to work, and therefore the database details need to be configured in the vBulletin configuration file. Now, there are two ways in which this can be dealt with. Provide me with MySQL access details that i need to successfully edit the vBulletin configuration file or provide me with access details for your cPanel or whatever backend you use, so i can set up a MySQL database for you. Choice is all yours.Administrator Account:
At the end of the installation i will be asked to create an Administrator account, so either you supply a desired Username and Password, or i will create an account on my own and send you the details so you can then change it yourself.
Now the probably most important thing to you, the pricing. I am sure you would rather spend less than some companies ask for. I have seen prices going from 25 GBP up to 79 US$ and sometimes more. Now i would never pay that amount of money for an installation as simple as the one of vBulletin.
Because of that, and i think you don´t think much different i have a complete other approach on the fee i ask for installing it. I am not charging you that amount of money, all i ask is a small Donation via Paypal. How much ? Well that is up to you, anything above 5 US$ would be appreciated, where 5 US$ is the minimum ammount accepted.
Let´s summarize:
Basic vBulletin installation will consist of uploading the files, creating MySQL DB if necessary, installing vBulletin and creating an Administrator account will be done for a minimum of 5 US$. Anything above 5 US$ is a bonus and up to you to decide whether to donate more than a 5er or not.
